CHRISTENING OF THE NEWEST AFRICAT 420 “CATALYST”
4/9/2008
Join Marge and Jim Leenhouts as they act to lessen the depletion of a natural resource needed to combat global warming. With genuine regret that this action will certainly affect their former sailing life-style, the Leenhouts’ remain steadfast that they must do everything they can to preserve one of precious natural resources-one that is widely used to produce electrical energy and cooling breezes.
IT’S A FACT THAT:
“SAILBOATS SUCK UP PERFECTLY GOOD WIND”
In this effort, the Leenhouts will christen a novel, remarkable, sea-going apparatus that will move through the pristine Ocean Environment without disturbing wind or wind patterns.
As equally concerned individuals, you are invited to join the Leenhouts’ and the all-volunteer Christening Team to protest dangerous sailboat wind absorption (SWA). We must preserve every bit of remaining wind we possibly can –saving it to keep our progeny cool until the next ice age.
(Small, insignificant gifts are discouraged, but if you feel so moved, as many will, by the Leenhouts’ contribution to the environment, the new owners will accept jerry cans of #2 diesel fuel.)
NOTE: The ARI-CAT TEAM wish Marge and Jim fair winds and small seas. We trust they will take heart from the fact that their new acquisition only burns 1 gal / hr @ 18knts, which does make them one of the most eco friendly boaters around!
